Eagle Vision:

The top two images show the Eagle Vision mode selected in 'Half' mode - this basically splits the image in two for display purposes. The right portion of the screen uses Eagle Vision, while the left half doesn't. The differences range from very clear to quite subtle. A difference that is worth highlighting is the fact that the details on the news paper are washed out when Eagle Vision is enabled in the first scene.

Above, the image on the left displays the picture quality delivered by the Leadtek DTV1000 T without Eagle Vision turned on, while the right hand image shows a similar image with Eagle Vision enabled. There are some parts of each image that we prefer - neither is ideal in the scenario that we've chosen.

If you're watching a broadcast without the ticker scrolling along the bottom, in the case of these screenshots from a Sky News broadcast, the facial details and colour range appears to be much better. The colours are brighter, but much more vibrant at the same time. In general the Eagle Vision mode produces a much more vibrant picture than without it, and we'd choose to enable Eagle Vision 99% of the time.

However, the problem with the image on the right is the news ticker along the bottom. The text appears to be a little blurry in comparison to the screen without Eagle Vision turned on, due to the brighter colours that Eagle Vision chooses to apply to the broadcast. The scenario we have chosen doesn't represent every television broadcast that you'd watch, but it does highlight a circumstance where we feel that Eagle Vision doesn't look quite as good as without reading news. We're thinking TwinView mode with the volume turned down here, where you're likely to be reading the news ticker along the bottom as opposed to following the main screen action.

Ghosting:

We saw some ghosting when the camera moved around static objects, or when moving objects were on film. Here are two instances where we saw ghosting when there were moving vehicles on the screen. The first image in particular was not particularly ideal with most of the smaller details in the scene being blurred out by the ghosting. On the other hand, the second image is a little different. The subject of the image remains clear and in focus, whilst the bus in the background is blurred - you can see the double vision on the bus window.
